The first Mr. Steam Franchisee (Tom Braze) has grown his business in Edmonton from a university side hustle to a full time career!
Unlike most franchises, there is no franchise fee to start but you do need to buy your own cleaning equipment (around $4000) and wrap your business vehicle professionally.
Bryce needs to dedicate around 20-40 hours a week (and a fair bit of money) to the Mr. Steam brand. This involves supporting franchisees, hosting meetings, improving our website design and continually producing new marketing material.
To support this necessary work, you pay a 10% royalty on your sales to support our system. Being part of the Mr. Steam system greatly increases your earning potential versus trying to do everything yourself, so this royalty fee is definitely worth it (there’s an old business saying that “90% of a watermelon is more than 100% of a grape”).
Note – we are not currently franchising in the following jurisdictions because red tape makes it too expensive: California, Hawaii, North Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Rhode Island, Washington State, Wisconsin, Virginia, Utah and Quebec.
We will eventually offer franchise opportunities for these jurisdictions in the future.
